Walid Bhatt is an aspiring architect and artist with experience working on projects from Google’s Bay View campus to a floating city. He graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2017 and has worked for international offices such as Adjaye Associates in London to Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in New York.
Walid just completed his first year of the Architecture MA at the Royal College of Art and will be progressing to the final year. His first year MA work challenged the nostalgic view of the UK’s National Parks focusing instead on the industrialised farming activities that dominate. He proposed a series of suburban-density farming estates that offer an accessible base for sustainable forms of living in the future, drawing on past traditions to rethink what a live-work neighbourhood could be in and around the UK’s National Parks. He is based in London.
