At the heart of my work is a desire to interpret and assemble, through investigation, tracks and traces of the everyday that I confront through my work in photography, sculpture and printmaking. Taking the object as a starting point, recent works have focused on simple categorization of form and shape, recurring patterns and surface materials, whilst experimenting with various juxtapositions, relationships and arrangements of objects. Background Blend Mode, a project that the professional development award enabled me to realise, is a series of screen-printed garments that echo architectural designs found in Partapur, a rural town in Rajasthan, India, it was created in collaboration with a local tailor.
