Robbin Younger is the current recipient of the CACT Award for TV and Film. Robbin is currently studying on MA Production Design at National Film and Television School.
“As a recent first class honours graduate of the Performance Design and Film Costume course at Arts University Bournemouth, I explored my passion for theatrical design, specialising in set design, scenic art and concept art. Whilst studying my undergraduate degree, I also worked as the production designer on the short film, Folklore 1953, where I discovered my interest for set design and art direction within film and TV. Funding from the generous Chelsea Arts Club Trust has enabled me to continue my studies at a postgraduate level, enrolling on the Production Design course at the National Film and Television School where I am gaining an in-depth understanding of the art department’s role within film making. Outside my studies, I have a wide range of creative hobbies, ranging from sewing to digital illustration; I have also worked as a freelance graphic designer and have recently collaborated with the National Trust at one of their locations; Corfe Castle. Post-graduation, I hope to apply my studies to roles within the art-department, specialising in concept art and production design.”
