Iva Kontic was born in Belgrade (former Yugoslavia) in 1982. Currently, she is on her II year of MFA at Goldsmiths College, London.
Ranging from painting to video and video-installation, Iva’s work is mostly focused on exploring the issues of personal and collective memory, belonging and identity in relation to specific geo-historical and social contexts as a backdrop of the everyday experience.
