“Performing, Choreography, Facilitating, and Advocacy. These are all aspects of my practice that are not separate but interconnected and interdependent. My performing role is one where I learn and put on a student’s mindset while reflecting on past and current creative processes that influence how I want to facilitate. Choreography allows me to facilitate and put my creativity into action and is a tool for change and invoke emotion. My advocacy work currently spans into my choreography which has touched on topics of gun violence, queerness, beauty, and race. I am currently researching for my dissertation how to create a teaching practice and how to facilitate spaces.”
