As the Chelsea Arts Club Trust Research Fellow I had the opportunity to curate and assist on 16 exhibitions at Chelsea Space! The opportunity to work with Director Donald Smith in this unique gallery where there is such a diverse exhibition programme meant that my curatorial practice developed considerably. I curated, ‘We are watching: OZ in London’ (2017) and ‘The Democratic Dish: Mintons Secessionist Ware’ (2018), as well as a series of displays in the Chelsea Café, working with MA Curating and Collections students on the Chelsea Space Reading Rooms, and also developing public programmes to go alongside exhibitions. The opportunity to work with renowned artists and curators has been invaluable in my development as a curator, and I am extremely thankful to the Chelsea Arts Club Trust for supporting me during this time.
