Aidan Stuart is one of the 2024/25 recipients of the Chelsea Arts Club Trust Trustee Award.
“From a very young age I have always had a huge passion for performing. This pretty much started off by performing for my family in the living room and progressing to taking part in primary school productions. At the age of ten I auditioned for and secured my first ever leading role as Oliver, this was with a local amateur dramatic company and was the starting point to where I am now. I then joined a local youth theatre group which gave me the opportunity to perform in many shows and continue to develop my performing skills. This is when I started to realise that this is what I wanted to do when I was older. Through secondary school I also participated in every musical and showcase I could with my time at the school. To enhance my skills, I also attended a local dance academy and took private singing lessons. When I left school, I really started to take musical theatre studies seriously and I attended a local college where I completed a BTEC in musical theatre. During my time at college, I was lucky enough to perform in many shows/showcases with many youth groups across the Northeast. After completing my BTEC I knew I wanted to further my training at a Drama School. Through auditioning I was fortunate enough to gain a place at Arts Ed in London. I have already completed my first year of training and I am currently in my second year of training at Arts Ed on the BA(Hons) course. I am training and developing my skills to a professional standard so that I can work towards fulfilling my aspirations of having a career within the performing arts industry with a specific focus on Musical Theatre.”
